The rain has started to slow down in most states of India, including Delhi-NCR. This year’s heavy rains have broken all records. Now, with the rain stopping, the mornings are starting to feel cooler, and it seems like winter will arrive soon.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has already started giving information about the cold weather. According to IMD, just like the rain, this winter could also break records. This means we can expect a very cold season this year. People are now wondering when the cold will start in their city. Let’s find out when winter will arrive in different cities.

    Alert for Delhi

In Delhi, people usually face harsh winters every year. This year, IMD is also warning of a similar cold season. On September 20, Delhi recorded its coldest morning in 15 years. IMD predicts that winter in Delhi could start between October 15 and 20. However, by the end of September, mornings will already start feeling cooler.

    What About UP?

The weather in Uttar Pradesh will also gradually start to cool down in the coming days, according to IMD. By the end of October, light winter will begin, and by November, the cold will be at its peak. Weather experts believe that this year, UP will experience slightly colder weather than usual. IMD claims that temperatures will drop significantly in December and January, and by the end of January or early February, the cold may break previous records.

    Update on Bihar

The weather department has not given a specific date for when winter will start in Bihar, but it is expected that the cold could begin in the last week of October. Normally, winter starts in November in Bihar, but this year it might arrive a little earlier.

    Rajasthan May Experience Harsh Cold

Rajasthan has set records not only for heat but also for rain this season. The state experienced heavy rainfall this year. As a result, the weather department believes that Rajasthan will face an intense winter this time. Cold weather may begin in the last week of October, and the winter season might last longer than usual.
