- Rajasthan: Sardar Ravneet Singh Bittu
- Tripura: Rajeev Bhattacharjee
Ravneet Singh Bittu, who lost in the Punjab Lok Sabha elections, has been chosen for the Rajya Sabha seat. After the Modi government took office for the third time, Bittu took an oath as a minister.

Among these 12 seats, 10 became vacant after members contested Lok Sabha elections. In Odisha and Telangana, Rajya Sabha members resigned from their parties and gave up their seats. In Odisha, Mamta Mohanta left the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) to join the BJP. In Telangana, Keshav Rao joined Congress after leaving Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS).
