The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) has issued a strong statement addressing the ongoing attacks on Hindus in Bangladesh. Following recent incidents where Hindu temples were targeted, RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale has demanded an immediate end to these atrocities. He also called for the release of ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, who has been unjustly imprisoned.
Dattatreya Hosabale’s Statement
Hosabale condemned the violence against Hindus and other minorities by Islamic extremists in Bangladesh. He said:
“The attacks, killings, lootings, arson, and inhumane atrocities on women are extremely concerning. The RSS strongly condemns this violence. The current Bangladeshi government and other agencies have remained silent spectators instead of taking action.”
Concerns Over Suppression of Peaceful Protests
He added that Hindus in Bangladesh, who are raising their voices peacefully through democratic means, are facing oppression. Referring to Chinmoy Krishna Das, he stated:
“It is unjust that ISKCON monk Chinmoy Krishna Das, who was leading peaceful protests, has been sent to prison by the Bangladeshi government.”
Demands from Bangladesh and India
The RSS has made the following demands:
- Immediate End to Violence: The Bangladeshi government must ensure the safety of Hindus and other minorities.
- Release of Chinmoy Krishna Das: The RSS urged Bangladesh to release the ISKCON monk without delay.
- Action from the Indian Government: The Indian government should continue efforts to stop atrocities in Bangladesh and work towards building global support for the cause.
Call for Global Support
Hosabale emphasized the need for international solidarity, saying:
“At this crucial time, India, the global community, and international organizations must stand with the victims in Bangladesh. Supporting their cause and urging respective governments to take action is essential for world peace and harmony.”
The RSS has called on all stakeholders to work together to ensure justice and safety for the oppressed minorities in Bangladesh.
