Omar Abdullah to Contest from Gandarbal Seat: National Conference Announces Second List

In the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, National Conference (NC) vice president Omar Abdullah will contest from the Gandarbal seat. The NC has released its second list of candidates.

First List of Candidates:

Earlier, on August 27, National Conference president Dr. Farooq Abdullah announced the first list of candidates for 18 constituencies including Pampore, Pulwama, Rajpora, and Shopian. This list also included two Hindu candidates: Arjun Singh Raju from Ramban and Pooja Thokur from Pader-Nagasani.

In the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections, National Conference will contest 51 seats, while Congress will contest 32 seats. There will be friendly contests for 5 seats. The CPI(M) and Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) will each field a candidate for one seat.
