Oppo is preparing to expand its Reno smartphone portfolio in India with the launch of the Reno 16 and Reno 16c. The company has officially announced that both devices will debut on July 2 at 12 PM IST, while also revealing several important details about their cameras, design, and colour options ahead of the launch.
Triple Cameras for Reno 16, Dual Cameras for Reno 16c
The higher-end Oppo Reno 16 will feature a triple rear camera system designed for versatile photography. It includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP telephoto portrait lens capable of 3.5x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera for capturing wider landscapes and group shots.
Meanwhile, the Reno 16c will use a dual-camera setup, retaining the 50MP main and ultra-wide sensors but omitting the dedicated telephoto lens.
50MP Selfie Camera on Both Models
Oppo is also focusing on selfie performance this year. Both smartphones will feature a 50-megapixel front camera placed inside a punch-hole display. According to the company, the sensor supports a 100-degree viewing angle, making it suitable for group selfies and high-quality video calls.
The Reno 16 lineup will also support 4K video recording at up to 60 frames per second, while a dual-LED flash system will assist photography in low-light conditions.
AI Photography Features Included
The upcoming Reno series will ship with several AI-powered camera modes designed to improve the photography experience. Confirmed features include:

- Popout 2.0
- Pop Cam
- AI Remix Collage
These tools are aimed at users who enjoy creating content for social media and short-form videos.
Oppo Bubble Accessory Debuts Alongside the Phones
In addition to the smartphones, Oppo has introduced a new magnetic accessory called Oppo Bubble. The compact accessory attaches to the back of the phone and features a 1.73-inch AMOLED display, allowing users to view notifications and other information without waking the primary screen.
The company says the accessory weighs around 27.5 grams, making it lightweight enough for daily use.
Colours and Availability
The Oppo Reno 16 series will be sold through Amazon, Flipkart, Oppo’s official online store, and offline retail outlets across India.
Both smartphones will be available in three colour options:
- Starry White
- Stellar Purple
- Twilight Violet
Oppo has also confirmed that the Reno 16 will feature a premium HoloVerse 3D design combined with a Floating 3D Glitter finish, giving the device a distinctive appearance.
