Ajay Devgn’s Dhamaal 4 has continued its impressive run at the box office, posting a significant increase in collections on its first Saturday. The comedy film has now crossed the ₹53 crore worldwide mark within just two days of release, giving the franchise another promising start.
The latest installment, directed by Indra Kumar, has managed to attract audiences despite facing stiff competition from several Bollywood, Telugu, and Hollywood releases currently playing in theatres.
Strong Growth on Day 2
After opening with ₹14 crore nett in India on Friday, Dhamaal 4 witnessed a sharp rise in business on Saturday.
According to box office tracker Sacnilk, the film earned ₹22.50 crore nett on Day 2, registering a growth of more than 60% over its opening-day performance.
This takes the film’s two-day India nett collection to ₹36.50 crore, while the domestic gross collection has climbed to ₹43.80 crore.
Worldwide Collection Crosses ₹53 Crore
The film has also maintained a steady pace in international markets.
With an estimated ₹5 crore gross added overseas on Saturday, the film’s international earnings have reached ₹10 crore gross. Combined with its domestic performance, Dhamaal 4 has now amassed ₹53.80 crore worldwide in just two days.
The strong global start indicates healthy audience interest, especially during the opening weekend.
Theatre Occupancy Improves
Saturday footfalls reflected the film’s growing momentum.
The comedy entertainer recorded an overall Hindi occupancy of 37.29% across 10,954 screenings nationwide, suggesting that family audiences contributed significantly to the weekend boost.
Industry observers will now be watching whether the film can maintain this momentum through Sunday and into the weekdays.
Competition Remains Intense
While Dhamaal 4 is performing well, it is operating in a crowded box office environment.
The film is competing with several major releases, including:
- Welcome To The Jungle starring Akshay Kumar
- Alpha featuring Alia Bhatt
- Telugu action film Lenin
- Hollywood releases Evil Dead Burn
- Disney’s live-action Moana
Despite the crowded release calendar, the comedy has managed to secure a solid share of audience attention during its opening weekend.
Performance of Other Releases
Meanwhile, Welcome To The Jungle continues its successful theatrical run, collecting approximately ₹183.92 crore worldwide so far. Of that total, ₹151.72 crore gross has come from India, while ₹32.20 crore has been contributed by overseas markets.
Alia Bhatt’s Alpha has also maintained a respectable run, earning ₹49.10 crore nett in India and reaching a worldwide gross of ₹81.81 crore.
