Realme has introduced another smartphone in its 16 series in India. The new Realme 16x 5G is aimed at users looking for a combination of long battery life, smooth display performance and 5G connectivity.
The smartphone comes with a large 7,000mAh battery, a 144Hz display and MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 processor. It also brings several durability-focused features.
Realme 16x: Key Specifications
The Realme 16x features a 6.81-inch LCD panel with a 144Hz refresh rate. The display has a resolution of 1,570 × 720 pixels and offers up to 1,200 nits of peak brightness. Panda-1681 glass is used for additional protection.
The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 SoC and comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4X RAM. Storage options go up to 256GB.
On the software side, the device runs Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16. Realme says the phone will receive two major Android updates along with three years of security updates.
7,000mAh Battery With 45W Charging
Battery life is one of the major selling points of the Realme 16x. The device packs a 7,000mAh battery and supports 45W wired fast charging.
It also supports bypass charging, which can be useful during gaming or extended usage, along with 6.5W wired reverse charging for powering compatible accessories and other devices.
Camera Details
The Realme 16x has a 50MP main rear camera for photography, while selfies and video calls are handled by an 8MP front-facing camera.
Realme has also integrated a Pulse Light into the rear camera area. The light can provide visual notification alerts and adds a distinctive element to the phone’s design.
Built for Durability
The Realme 16x comes with an IP65 rating and MIL-STD-810H certification. It also features a 5,300mm² VC cooling system to help manage heat during demanding tasks.
Another practical feature is touchscreen support while using the phone with wet hands or gloves.
A side-mounted fingerprint sensor is included for biometric authentication.

The smartphone is available in two colours: Glory White and Endurance Brown.

The Realme 16x will be available for purchase in India starting August 13. Customers can buy it through Realme’s online store, Flipkart and selected offline retail outlets.
A Familiar Hardware Package
The Realme 16x is not entirely new from a hardware perspective. Its specifications are closely related to the Realme P4R and Realme Narzo 100x 5G, which are also sold in India.
The biggest distinction is battery capacity. The Realme 16x packs a 7,000mAh battery, whereas the other two models feature larger 8,000mAh batteries.
With its 144Hz screen, 5G chipset, large battery and durability features, the Realme 16x is positioned as a feature-focused smartphone in the Indian mid-range market.
