Heavy rain is causing serious problems in Uttarakhand. Continuous rainfall has created chaos in many parts of the state. There are reports of landslides and waterlogging in several areas. A landslide in Karnaprayag caused debris to enter a house near the highway. The SDRF team rescued the family from the house. The highway has been closed due to the landslide.

According to ABP Live, a landslide occurred near Umta in Karnaprayag, and the falling debris entered a house located beside the highway. The debris came with such force that the people inside had no time to escape. The rescue team worked hard to get them out safely and shifted them to another location.
๐ง Highway Blocked by Debris
Earlier on Sunday, a large amount of debris and a big boulder fell on the Badrinath Highway near Gauchar Taldhari, closing the road. Thankfully, the people passing by were safe. A rock also broke off about 500 meters ahead of the ITI on the Karnaprayag-Nainisain Motor Road. Because of the road closure, people had to take a longer route via Dimmer Simli to reach Karnaprayag.
Today, a yellow alert for rain has been issued in Dehradun, Tehri, Nainital, and Champawat districts.

The Weather Department has predicted heavy rain in the four yellow alert districts. Rain is likely to continue for the next five days. Some hilly areas may also face intense showers.
In Dehradun, after light rain, sunshine increased the temperature by 2.5ยฐC. More rainfall is expected in the coming days.

According to weather expert Rohit Thapliyal, heavy rain is expected in Dehradun over the next five days. The maximum temperature may drop by 1.4ยฐC. Currently, dark clouds are seen over Dehradun, and it is raining in many places. The Disaster Management Department is closely monitoring the weather situation.
Residents are advised to stay alert and avoid traveling to risky hilly areas during heavy rain.
