On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk in Poland. The two leaders discussed strengthening bilateral relations, emphasizing the importance of their relationship. Modi expressed gratitude for the warm welcome and friendly words from Tusk, highlighting that this visit is significant as it is the first by an Indian Prime Minister to Poland in 45 years.

During the meeting, Modi acknowledged Poland’s support during the 2022 Ukraine crisis, where Poland helped safely evacuate Indian nationals. He praised Poland for being a leading country in food processing and invited Polish companies to join India’s “Make in India” and “Make for the World” initiatives.

Regarding global conflicts, Modi expressed concern about the ongoing wars in Ukraine and West Asia, stating that innocent lives lost in these crises are a major challenge to humanity. He affirmed India’s support for peace and stability through dialogue and diplomacy, and assured that India is ready to cooperate with its friends to resolve these issues.
