Realme has officially unveiled the new Realme 16T in the Indian market. The smartphone arrives as the fourth model in the Realme 16 lineup and targets users looking for a large battery, smooth display experience, and durable design at a comparatively affordable price point.
The company also introduced the Realme Buds Air 8 Pro and Realme Watch S5 during the launch event.
Realme 16T Features and Specifications
The Realme 16T comes with a 6.8-inch LCD display that supports a 144Hz refresh rate, offering smoother animations, scrolling, and gaming performance. The screen has a resolution of 1570×720 pixels.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor coupled with the Mali-G57 MC GPU. The chipset is designed to handle everyday multitasking, social media usage, and casual gaming efficiently.
For optics, the device features a 50MP Sony AI rear camera setup, while selfies and video calls are handled by a 16MP front-facing camera. Realme has also added a rear selfie mirror, which may appeal to content creators and selfie enthusiasts.
Battery performance is one of the key highlights of the phone. The device packs a huge 8000mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging and 15W reverse charging. Realme claims the battery is engineered to maintain long-term battery health for up to seven years.
The smartphone runs on realme UI 7.0 and is claimed to provide up to six years of smooth software experience.
Durability is another major focus, as the phone includes IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K certifications for water and dust resistance, making it one of the more rugged smartphones in its segment.
Realme 16T Price in India
The Realme 16T has been launched in three variants:
- 6GB RAM + 128GB storage – Rs 29,999
- 8GB RAM + 128GB storage – Rs 31,999
- 8GB RAM + 256GB storage – Rs 34,999
The smartphone is available for pre-orders through Realme India and Flipkart, while the first sale is scheduled for May 27.
