A fierce gunfight took place between security forces and Naxals in Bijapur, Chhattisgarh. The security forces launched a strong action, killing two Naxals. However, one soldier was martyred in the operation.
Where Did the Encounter Happen?
The encounter occurred in the Andri forests of Gangloor in Bijapur. SP Jitendra Yadav confirmed that the operation is still ongoing.
According to police officials, the clash started when a joint team of security forces was conducting an anti-Naxal operation in the Gangloor area. They also mentioned that intermittent firing is still happening, and more information is being gathered.
Weapons Recovered from the Naxals
