Former BJP MP Gave Big Statement on Rahul Gandhi, Said – He Should Learn from Shashi Tharoor

What Happened?

Shashi Tharoor, a Congress MP, recently praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi, and this has become a hot topic in political circles.

Reacting to this, Rajendra Agarwal, former BJP MP from Meerut, gave a big statement about Rahul Gandhi. He said:

“Rahul Gandhi should learn from Shashi Tharoor. If an opposition leader praises someone, it should not be taken negatively.”

Why Did He Say This?

Rajendra Agarwal said that even Atal Bihari Vajpayee once praised Indira Gandhi, and that should be remembered.
He added:

“PM Modi deserves praise. He has made India proud across the world. His foreign policy is respected globally. That’s why even opposition leaders like Shashi Tharoor are praising him. Rahul Gandhi should take inspiration from this.”

Attack on Samajwadi Party Leader

Samajwadi Party leader Rajendra Chaudhary compared the current situation in India to the Emergency of 1975, saying people are jailed for raising their voices.

Rajendra Agarwal responded strongly:

“Rajendra Chaudhary doesn’t know the real history of the Emergency. He should learn about it before speaking.
Filing a legal case is not like Emergency. Even if we do something wrong, action can be taken against us.”

He also said:

“The Emergency under Indira Gandhi was a time of dictatorship.”

Statement on Congress Leader Ajay Rai

Ajay Rai, Congress state president, opposed the Banke Bihari Corridor project.
Rajendra Agarwal responded:

“Congress always opposes good work. People like Ajay Rai should support such development, or else the public is watching everything.”

Rajendra Agarwal Remembers His Jail Days

He recalled his time during the Emergency in 1975, when he was the RSS district pracharak in Pilibhit.

  • He was arrested and sent to jail during the Emergency.
  • He stayed in jail for 16 months, first in Pilibhit and then 5 more months in Bareilly Central Jail.
  • In total, he was in jail for 21 months.

He shared his painful memories:

“During that time, people were tortured, hung upside down, and beaten.
We couldn’t even tell when the sun rose or set.
The Emergency was a dark chapter in India’s history.”

He said even after the Emergency ended in March, he was only released in April.

Conclusion:
Former BJP MP Rajendra Agarwal praised Shashi Tharoor for his honest words about PM Modi and said Rahul Gandhi should learn from him. He also criticized the Congress for supporting wrong causes and recalled the pain of Emergency, calling it India’s darkest time.
