Actor, director, and producer JD Majethia recently showered praise on Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan for raising their children Aryan Khan, Suhana Khan, and AbRam Khan with middle-class values instead of privilege.
While discussing his popular sitcom Wagle Ki Duniya in an interview with Radio Nasha, Majethia shared his admiration for the Khan family’s approach to parenting. “My wife is a huge fan of Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan.She keeps watching whatever comes up about them and shows it to me,” he said.
He further added, “Shah Rukh Khan has his fan following all over the world, and I read an interview of Gauri somewhere that my wife showed me. In that interview, Gauri talks about raising their kids with middle-class values despite their privilege. She mentioned that she would like to raise their children with a lot of middle-class values, not privilege, which I love because that’s the theory I believe in as well.”

Majethia emphasized the importance of a middle-class mentality, especially for wealthy families. “All the rich people, look at the big families. They know that they have a lot of money, wealth, and business relationships to handle. To manage everything, you need a person who has experienced challenges, seen struggles, and been able to handle them. That’s the middle-class mentality. Middle-class upbringing is crucial, and that’s why I always say this is what we wanted to show in Wagle Ki Duniya.”
