Preparations for Lord Krishna’s birthday celebration, Janmashtami, are in full swing. This year, Janmashtami will be celebrated on August 26, Monday, with great enthusiasm. Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav has announced that four pilgrimage sites related to Lord Krishna will be developed.
The Chief Minister mentioned the first site, Sandipani Ashram, where Lord Krishna studied after defeating Kansa. This is where Krishna earned the name “Shri Krishna.”
He also talked about the Narayana Dham in Ujjain, where Krishna’s friendship with Sudama is remembered. The friendship between Krishna and Sudama shows that true friendship does not consider wealth or poverty.
The Chief Minister mentioned Janapav in Indore, where Krishna received the Sudarshan Chakra. He also referred to Amjhera in Dhar district, an important site related to Krishna’s life.
**Janmashtami Celebrations**
Collector Neeraj Kumar Singh shared that special celebrations for Janmashtami are being held in Ujjain and Narayana Dham as per the Chief Minister’s plans. Every year, a large number of devotees visit Ujjain for Lord Krishna’s blessings during Janmashtami.
The Janmashtami festival in Ujjain lasts for two days. Collector Ashish Singh from Indore mentioned that the festival is also being celebrated with enthusiasm in the city. Special preparations have been made in Amjhera as well.
The government had previously promised to develop pilgrimage routes related to Lord Rama and Lord Krishna.
