New Traffic Rule on Noida Expressway – Heavy Fine for Broken-Down Vehicles

New Traffic Rule on Noida Expressway – Heavy Fine for Broken-Down Vehicles

If your car breaks down on the Noida Expressway, you might have to pay a big fine! Noida Traffic Police has introduced a new rule to reduce traffic jams and ensure smooth movement of vehicles.

What is the New Rule?

Noida Expressway has been declared a “Breakdown Challan Area.” This means that if a vehicle stops due to a breakdown and causes a traffic jam, the police can:

  • Issue a fine of up to ₹20,000
  • Seize the vehicle if necessary

This rule has been implemented to ensure that vehicles are well-maintained and do not cause problems for other travelers.

Why Was This Rule Introduced?

The main reason for this rule is to avoid long traffic jams caused by broken-down vehicles. Many times, vehicles stop suddenly due to poor maintenance, blocking the road and causing inconvenience to other drivers. With the fear of a heavy fine, people will ensure their cars are in good condition before driving on the expressway.

What Did the Traffic Police Say?

The DCP of Noida Traffic Police stated that this rule is part of a special campaign to improve traffic management. If a vehicle breaks down due to the driver’s negligence, a fine will be imposed, and the vehicle may be seized.

However, the officer clarified that if the breakdown happens due to a genuine reason, no action will be taken. He also advised citizens not to panic but to follow traffic rules carefully.

This new rule aims to make the Noida Expressway safer and smoother for everyone! 🚗💨
