NIRF Rankings 2024 Announced: The National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) 2024 rankings have been released. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan announced the rankings today at 3 PM. As usual, IIT Madras has secured the top position in the overall category. The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore is in second place, and IIT Bombay is in third place.

- IIT Madras – Continues to be at the top overall and has maintained its lead from 2019 to 2023.

The NIRF rankings assess and rank higher education institutions in India based on various criteria. IIT Madras has been dominant in the engineering category from 2016 to 2023. The rankings were announced in 13 categories at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi.
