President Droupadi Murmu is coming to Gorakhpur on a two-day visit starting 30th June. In view of her visit, the Uttar Pradesh government is making tight security arrangements. More than 4,000 police officers, including 2 companies of PAC, will be deployed to ensure her safety.
🛬 When Will the President Arrive?
- Date: 30th June
- Time: Around 3 PM
- Place: She will land at Gorakhpur airport in a special aircraft.
From there, she will go to the AIIMS Gorakhpur to attend its first convocation ceremony and give medals and degrees to top students.
On 1st July, she will go to the Mahayogi Guru Gorakhnath Ayush University for its inauguration ceremony. A huge arrangement is being made at the venue for around 10,000 people.
🚓 Security Arrangements
Because of the President’s visit, security from ground to sky is being ensured.
- 5 surveillance drones will keep an eye on the entire route.
- Police officers in civil dress will be placed among the public for secret monitoring.
- Intelligence officers from Lucknow, ATS, and nearby districts will also be deployed.

🛣️ Her Travel Route
On 1st July, she will travel 31 km by road from the Circuit House to Pipri village, where the university is located. On the way, she will pass through:
Kudaghat → Mohaddipur → Padleganj → Asuran → Medical College → Bhathat → Bans Sthan → Pipri
After the university program, she will go to the Gorakhnath Temple via:
Sonbarsa → Mahuatar Overbridge → Mahesra Tal → Bargadwa
To manage this, special route-wise security plans and duty charts are being prepared. Extra 1,500 police personnel are being called from nearby districts.

During her China visit (earlier), Rajnath Singh gifted a Madhubani painting, a famous art style from Bihar, known for its beautiful colors and patterns.
