Stock Market Today: Among the companies listed on Sensex, shares of NTPC, State Bank of India, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank and UltraTech Cement were the most profitable.
The Indian stock market has made a new record today on Monday. Sensex opened at 81,679.65 with a gain of 346.93 points or 0.43%. Nifty 50 also opened at 24,943.30 with a rise of 108.45 points or 0.44%.
As soon as the market opened, the 30-share Sensex of BSE jumped 416.62 points in early trade to reach a new all-time high of 81,749.34 points. At the same time, NSE Nifty reached a new all-time high of 24,980.45 points with a gain of 145.6 points.
Among the companies listed on Sensex, shares of NTPC, State Bank of India, IndusInd Bank, ICICI Bank and UltraTech Cement were the most profitable while shares of Titan, Bharti Airtel, ITC and Tech Mahindra are trading at loss.
On the last trading day i.e. Friday, the Sensex closed at 81,332.72 points, jumping 1,292.92 points or 1.62 percent, after a continuous decline for five days. National Stock Exchange index Nifty also rose by 428.75 points or 1.76 percent and closed at a new peak of 24,834.85 points.
With this rise, the total market capitalization of BSE listed companies increased by Rs 7,10,235.45 crore and reached an all-time high of Rs 4,56,92,671.33 crore.
According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) remained buyers in the capital market on Friday. He bought shares worth net Rs 2,546.38 crore.
