WhatsApp’s New Feature: Users Can Link Social Media Accounts

WhatsApp is soon launching a new feature that will allow users to link their social media accounts to their WhatsApp profile. Currently, this feature is only available for business accounts, but soon, it will be available for regular users as well.

Meta-owned WhatsApp frequently introduces new features to enhance the user experience.

Feature is in Testing Phase

WhatsApp is testing this feature for iPhone users. It is not yet enabled for everyone, but a screenshot reveals how it will work.

With this feature, WhatsApp users can link their other social media accounts to their profiles. This will make it easier for people to find their social media profiles without switching between different platforms.

A New Section in Profile Settings

Reports suggest that WhatsApp will introduce a new section in the profile settings where users can add links to their social media accounts.

  • This feature will be completely optional.
  • Users do not have to link their accounts if they don’t want to.
  • Currently, only Instagram can be linked, but before the official launch, options for Threads and Facebook may also be added.
  • Right now, signing in is not required to link an Instagram profile, but in the future, login verification may be necessary.

WhatsApp to Offer Bill Payments Like Google Pay and PhonePe

WhatsApp is also testing a bill payment feature similar to Google Pay and PhonePe.

  • With this new feature, users can pay their bills and recharge their mobile phones directly through WhatsApp.
  • The feature is currently in the testing phase but will soon be available for all users.

This new update will make WhatsApp even more useful for daily activities.
