In the upcoming by-elections for ten assembly seats in Uttar Pradesh, BJP’s allies within the NDA are putting pressure on the party. After Sanjay Nishad’s Nishad Party, Anupriya Patel’s Apna Dal (S) has now claimed the Phulpur seat during a meeting and district-level conference held in Prayagraj. The event was attended by Anupriya Patel, the national president of the party, and Ashish Patel, a cabinet minister in the Yogi government.

Although neither Anupriya Patel nor Ashish Patel directly claimed the Phulpur seat, the display of strength at these events was an indirect way of asserting their claim. Some other party leaders openly stated that Phulpur has been the workplace of the party’s founder, Dr. Sonelal Patel, and hence, Apna Dal (S) should contest from there.

NDA Candidate Will Contest Every Seat – Anupriya Patel

Regarding the by-elections, Union Minister Anupriya Patel stated that NDA candidates will strongly contest all ten assembly seats. She assured that all members of Apna Dal (S) will work hard to ensure the victory of the NDA candidates. When asked about how many seats Apna Dal (S) will contest, she said that regardless of the symbol, the NDA candidate will be the one contesting each seat.

Announcement of New Office Bearers

After the monthly review meeting with national and state officials, Anupriya Patel mentioned that the party units were dissolved after the elections, and new office bearers are being appointed. The names of several new officials were also announced during the meeting. Additionally, the structure for upcoming organizational programs and district-level worker conferences was decided. She advised party officials and workers to promote the party’s policies and programs on social media.

Ashish Patel Energizes Workers

In these events, party leader and UP cabinet minister Ashish Patel also motivated the party officials and workers. He emphasized that NDA candidates will contest all ten seats, and the decision on which party’s symbol will be used will be made after discussions among the allied leaders. He urged Apna Dal (S) workers to work towards the victory of NDA candidates on all seats, with the goal of winning all ten seats. He also encouraged the party workers to stay active on social media.
