Even though the floodwaters in Gujarat have receded after heavy rains, local residents are still facing problems. Crocodiles are now causing fear as they move around residential areas. The situation is particularly bad in Vadodara, where reports of crocodiles entering homes are frequent.
Due to the overflowing Vishwamitri River, crocodiles have been spotted on roads, in parks, outside homes, and even on a university campus. These crocodiles are about 10 to 15 feet long.
An official from Vadodara told ANI that in the past few days, 10 crocodiles have been rescued due to the flooding. Two of these crocodiles have been released back, while the other eight are still in custody.
