Mumbai: Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa Season 2 is preparing for its first elimination, and viewers are in for a major surprise. Actor Kangana Ranaut, who hosted the previous season, is returning to the reality show in a special guest role this weekend.
Unlike her previous stint as host, Kangana will enter the show as “Janta Ki Awaaz”, representing the opinions and voice of the audience during the season’s first termination round.
Kangana to Join Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh
The announcement was made by Netflix, confirming that Kangana will appear alongside current hosts Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh for the first elimination episode.
Sharing her excitement, Kangana said the essence of Lock Upp has always been about standing by one’s truth. She hinted that the first elimination will be intense, adding that every action inside the competition has consequences.
Her appearance is expected to influence the elimination process while bringing viewers’ perspective into the game.
Why Kangana Isn’t Hosting This Season
Before the show’s premiere, producer Ektaa Kapoor addressed the reason behind the change in hosting duties.
According to Ektaa, the makers decided to redesign the reality show’s overall format. The previous structure, which featured a host and jailer, has been replaced with a fresh concept to offer audiences a new viewing experience. Because of this creative reboot, the production team opted for new hosts instead of continuing with the earlier setup.
Contestants Battling for Survival
Hosted by Farah Khan and Riteish Deshmukh, the latest season features contestants from television, digital entertainment, and social media.
Participants include Harshad Chopda, Ram Kapoor, Shivangi Joshi, Sunita Ahuja, Riyaz Ali, Dheeraj Dhoopar, Yogesh Rawat, Akanksha Choudhary, Pamela Serena, Akanksha Chamola, Varun Yadav (Laila), Madhuri Grover, Shreya Karla, Sreshta Iyer, and Sufi Motiwala.
Inside the show’s jail-like environment, contestants are cut off from the outside world and must complete demanding tasks while dealing with punishments, shifting alliances, and regular eliminations over six weeks.

Lock Upp: Sach Ya Sazaa premiered on Netflix on June 27 and streams Saturday through Wednesday at 8 PM. The upcoming weekend episode will feature the season’s first elimination, with Kangana Ranaut making her much-awaited return in a brand-new avatar.
