After yesterday’s market storm, Indian markets opened green today. The market indicated this in the pre-opening. As the market opened, all the sectoral indices were also seen trading in the green mark. Sensex and Nifty also opened in the green. Nifty has opened above 24,300. 47 out of 50 Nifty stocks rose. While Nifty Bank was seen above 50,500.
Sensex closed at 78,759.40 and Nifty at 24,055.60 earlier in the trading day.
Overall, the market cap of companies listed on BSE increased by Rs 7.27 lakh crore today, meaning investor wealth increased by Rs 7.27 lakh crore as the market opened. Now coming to the equity benchmark indices, the BSE Sensex is currently up 949.99 points or 1.21 percent at 79,709.39 and the Nifty 50 is up 276.40 points or 1.15 percent at 24,332.00. A trading day ago, Sensex closed at 78,759.40 and Nifty at 24,055.60.
