The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has created a new strategy for Akash Anand, the successor of Mayawati, in the upcoming Haryana Assembly Elections. Akash Anand has already conducted several rallies and meetings for the election. However, the BSP has now decided that he will no longer hold large rallies or public meetings. Instead, Akash Anand will connect directly with the people by holding small gatherings called “Chaupals” in villages. He will meet people in the fields and work to strengthen BSP’s support. Akash Anand plans to conduct two “Chaupals” per day.
In this election, BSP has formed an alliance with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD). The party aims to improve its position and send a message from Haryana to Uttar Pradesh that it is still strong. In the June 2024 Lok Sabha elections, BSP did not win any seats, and currently, the party has only one MLA in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.

Akash Anand as a Star Campaigner
Akash Anand also campaigned during the Lok Sabha elections in Uttar Pradesh. However, during the campaign, Mayawati called him “immature,” and his rallies were paused. After the elections, Mayawati gave him responsibilities again, and he was tasked with overseeing the elections in various states.
Akash Anand, 29, is listed as a star campaigner for the Haryana Assembly Elections, following Mayawati and his father Anand Kumar on the list of important leaders.
