Tejashwi Yadav, one of India’s well-known politicians, recently mentioned in an interview that Virat Kohli played under his captaincy in cricket. Before entering politics, Tejashwi Yadav, son of Lalu Prasad Yadav, was a professional cricketer. However, he had to leave cricket due to an injury. Let’s find out when Tejashwi played cricket under Virat Kohli’s captaincy.

Both Tejashwi Yadav and Virat Kohli played age-group cricket together for Delhi. According to media reports, Tejashwi made his debut for Delhi’s Under-15 team in 2003, in a match against Jammu and Kashmir. At that time, Virat Kohli was the captain of the Delhi Under-15 team.

Although Tejashwi played four T20s, two List A matches, and one First Class match in his career, these matches were for Jharkhand. On the other hand, Kohli never played for Jharkhand. So, it seems that Tejashwi played under Kohli’s captaincy only in age-group cricket.

In List A matches, he scored 14 runs in 2 innings and took 1 wicket in bowling. In his only T20 match inning, he managed to score just 3 runs.

Tejashwi played First Class, List A, and T20 matches for Jharkhand within a year. He started in 2009 and played his last match in 2010. Due to injury, he decided to step away from cricket.
